The AARP web page

is designed to spotlight articles on news, personal finance, relationships, travel and other topics of concern to older gay Americans, and their family and friends. It also provides information about AARP’s positions and advocacy efforts in this arena.


The American Society on Aging LGBT Aging Issues Network (LAIN)

works to raise awareness about the concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) elders and about the unique barriers they encounter in gaining access to housing, healthcare, long-term care and other needed services.


Aging Your Way LGBT Gathering

On June 7, 2011 members of the LGBT community came together to create a vision for their community that would help support them as they age. Louise Chernin, executive director of the GSBA, facilitated the gathering that was hosted by Senior Services.

Mature Friends

is an active, fun-loving group of over 250 members  who meet regularly to share common interests such as traveling (both locally and internationally), attending arts events, playing bridge or pinochle, reading and discussing books, making investments, touring gardens, taking walks and going on hikes, choosing among many options for dinners and lunches, cooking, and tasting fine wines from our own state, from other states, and from around the world.


National Gay and Lesbian Task Force


The National Resource Center on LGBT Aging

is the country's first and only technical assistance resource center aimed at improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults.


The "Over 40's Group" Meeting

Aging Lesbian In South Seattle (ALISS)
A support and social and political group that meets the 1st Thursdays of every month at Southeast Senior Center 4655 South Holly Street Seattle, WA 98118. We gather for lunch at the Southeast Senior Center at 11:30 am and our meeting is at 12:30 pm. We also have other social events. Contact Fai for more information: 206.722.0729 or via email 

Pride Foundation

Puget Sound Old Lesbians Organizing for Change (PSOLOC)

is a chapter of the National OLOC.  It was created to connect old lesbians in the Puget Sound area to form community and to encourage participation in activities and causes that improve lives and visibility.

Rainbow Bingo

first started at Senior Center of West Seattle, is now offered at three different senior centers, Senior Center of West Seattle, Northwest Senior Center and SE Seattle Senior Center.



is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) older adults. SAGE has pioneered programs and services for the aging LGBT community, provided technical assistance and training to expand opportunities for LGBT older people across the country, and provided a national voice on LGBT aging issues.
