More Americans put retirement on hold

Read the article on the Seattle Times about how older adults are holding off on retiring more and more as economic pressures as well as changes and work and lifestyle influence our attitudes on retirement.

Stop Senior Care Cuts

Please help influence your legislator to look for additional revenue rather than adopt a budget that cuts programs vital to the well-being of elders and their families. And share this video with all those you know and visit StopCareCuts.com to hear the real stories from Stan and Lynne, and other vulnerable families — and take action to support them today.

Where are today’s champions for older adults?

Many of our programs, which are funded by the Older Americans Act, are on the chopping block despite the seniors who rely on them.  As the Budget Deficit Supercommittee discusses how to reduce the deficit and cut spending, even programs like Social Security, Medicare, and the Older Americans Act are facing serious cuts.

If you consider yourself a champion for older adults, visit our One Away blog to find out how you can let Congress know that balancing the budget on the backs of seniors just isn’t fair!  It’s quick, it’s easy, and it will benefit Senior Services and the programs you know and love!
