An Open Call For Volunteers!
Senior Services seeks volunteers for all program areas. Here are just a few of examples of crucial roles volunteers fill in the organization:
- Transport seniors to medical and other essential appointments
- Deliver meals to homebound seniors for our Meals On Wheels program
- Help seniors find the services they seek with our Information & Assistance program
- Empower seniors to utilize their legal and consumer rights! Become a Senior Rights Assistance (SRA) Specialist or a Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisor (SHIBA)
- Make generous use of your computer skills with our IT Department
- Volunteer at our fabulous fundraising events--lend your marketing or PR skills
- Prepare and serve nutritious lunches to seniors at one of many Community Dining sites
- Coach seniors to improve their fitness and balance
