We make choosing health care coverage easier!


SHIBA (Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors) HelpLine provides free, unbiased information about health care coverage and access to help improve the lives of all Washington state residents.  We assist people of all ages with questions or complaints about health care coverage, including Medicare, Basic Health, prescription drugs, children's coverage, and more.



SHIBA HelpLine at Senior Services


Senior Services and Chinese Information and Service Center are proud sponsors of the SHIBA HelpLine in King County. Trained volunteers provides free health insurance education, counseling, and assistance to all Washington residents. 

Assistance is available in-person at a commuity site in your neighborhood, or over the phone.  To speak with an advisor, contact us today!

Make a difference in your community!

There are many opportunities to get involved locally with the SHIBA HelpLine. Sample volunteer roles include:

  • counsel (in person or over the phone)
  • provide clerical support
  • participate in outreach activities
  • give presentations to the public
  • work on special projects

Chinese Information and Service Center

Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC) helps Chinese and other Asian immigrants throughout King County achieve success in their new community by providing information, referral, advocacy, social, and support services. CISC works together with Senior Services to provide SHIBA HelpLine assistance to King county residents.

The Senior Outreach Program

The Senior Outreach Program helps to identify older persons who do not normally use existing health and social services. They also connect women to mammograms and other breast health services.
