The Northwest Senior Activity Center provides daily exercise, nutrition programs, health clinics, Information and Assistance, classes, recreation, social services and education to those 50 and over in Northwest Seattle. The center is a Community Center of Senior Services, a private nonprofit agency.

Monday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Tuesday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Wednesday: 8:30am to 9:30pm
Thursday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm
Saturday: Closed except for special events
Sunday: Closed except for special events

Dues and Fees:
Annual membership is $30; scholarships are available. Fees for most classes, activities, recreation and trips vary and are less for members. Scholarships are always available. Non-members are welcome to participate. Dues are prorated for new members.
Newsletter:
Published four times a year: January, April, July, and October. Mailed to members as part of membership. Available at the center. A two page update is mailed on off months.
Services:
Classes, daily nutrition lunches and other nutrition services, trips, Dine Out, social work classes and counseling, Information and Assistance, health clinics, legal and financial counseling, Senior Rights assistance, haircuts, Enhanced Fitness classes, yoga, line dancing, crafts, card playing groups, Living Alone support group, Book Club, billiard room, weekly health speakers, intergenerational programs, transportation, many and varied classes for personal growth and learning, recreational, social and volunteer opportunities.
Special Events and Fundraisers:
Annual Auction, raffles, sales, bazaars, rummage sales, bingo, Wednesday night dinner, movies, special meals and parties, facility rentals.
Funding:
Fees and fund-raising, Senior Services, United Way.
Transportation:
Bus Routes 44 and 17 stop directly in front of the center, ACCESS, Specialized Transportation, provide medical appointments through Senior Services, some carpools.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Available on daily, weekly, monthly and occasional basis. There is something that will be of interest for most people. Training is always provided. Call (206) 297-0403 to receive information or updated brochure on needed placements.
