Community Dining—Let’s do lunch!

Senior lunch-goers savor thousands upon thousands of delicious Community Dining meals annually while catching-up with long-time friends—and making new ones. Each week, welcoming Community Dining sites throughout King County open their doors to a thriving community of diners whose palates are satisfied by good friends and good food. Sit back, relax, and enjoy tasty and nutritious fare.

You’ll appreciate the many types of cuisine options that may be available, including Japanese, Latino, East Indian, Kosher, and Soul Food—served at different locations. Celebrate holidays and monthly birthday parties with us—our festive menus will make you happy you did.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Community Dining experience. Lunch-goers, age 60 and over, can enjoy a great lunch with a suggested donation of $3 (or whatever they are able to spare). Friends, family and spouses under the age of 60 are charged a nominal fee of $5 to $6. You can invite everyone to join you. Bring along a friend, daughter, son or grandchild to enjoy the lunch hour with you. At that price, you can invite the whole family!

Before and after lunch, you can enjoy the many lively and entertaining activities. Lunch has never been so easy, delicious, convenient, or fun!

Our Nutrition Coordination Program may even be able to arrange your ride to lunch. Call (206) 448-5740 or 1-800-282-5815 for ride information.

View our easy-to-read menus right here on the website. Or check out our newsletter, the MealTime Memo—your gateway to exciting Community Dining news.

Use Food Stamp Allotments for the Community Dining Program

Food stamp allotments can be used to have lunch at our programs. One charge slip can cover the donation of several meals. Just remember to process the voucher according to your Lunch Program Site Guide. Timing is most important as the charge slip must be submitted by our downtown office to DSHS within 10-15 days of the charge. Small balances that might otherwise go to waste can be used to obtain more than one affordable and nutritious lunch – more lunch than you might be able to buy at the grocery store. If you need additional information, please call (206) 727-6253.
