Finding what you need when you need it is not always easy.  Pathways Information & Assistance is committed to providing a full range of community education, services, and resources to help King County seniors, people with disabilities and their caregivers, maintain independence, security and quality of life. Advocates will help you explore your options to find the best solution for your situation. 

Senior Rights Assistance

Senior Rights Assistance (SRA) helps persons of all ages understand their legal and consumer rights and empowers them to take action! Our services and materials are completely free! Senior Rights Assistance specialists provide individualized attention and are knowledgeable about many legal and consumer rights related topics, including: powers of attorney, estate planning and consumer issues.

Caregiver Support Services

If you live in King County and are caring for a partner, friend or family member age 18 or older, our caregiver advocates can help connect you to: individual consultations and support groups, housing options, transportation resources, Medicaid eligibility, in-home assistance and respite care, adult day health programs, LGBT-specific resources and more. Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA)

Do you need help finding access to health insurance, health care programs or prescription drugs? Call the Statewide Health Insurance Benefits Advisors (SHIBA)!

SHIBA is a free, unbiased and confidential counseling service of the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner (OIC). We’re a statewide network of trained volunteers who assist and advocate for consumers about Medicare, health care coverage, health insurance, and access to health care and prescription drugs. This impartial counseling resource helps consumers understand their rights and options, learn about private insurance, government programs, and many other health care-related topics.

Our volunteers answer questions, make referrals, help evaluate and compare policies, and more. We offer individual and group help statewide to people of all ages, in a variety of languages.

  • ACRS – Asian Counseling & Referral Service offers a broad array of human services and behavioral health programs to all Asian Pacific Americans in King County - immigrants, refugees and American born. 

  • CISC – Chinese Information and Service Center  helps Chinese and other Asian immigrants throughout King County by providing information, referral, advocacy, social and support services.

  • Evergreen Health Access Program  partners with many community organizations to assist low income and uninsured residents of northeast King County who face barriers in accessing affordable and quality health and social services.

  • JFS – Jewish Family Service helps individuals and families in the Puget Sound region by providing a wide range of human services, including essential services for older adults challenged by aging or disability, support for family members and caregivers.

  • Sea Mar Latino Information & Assistance Program  serves seniors 55 years and older by providing seniors with information and opportunities aimed at helping them in their day-to-day living.

  • Veterans Information & Assistance Call Center  provides one-stop assistance for King County veterans, active duty, National Guard and reservists and their families regarding benefits and services.
