About Hyde Shuttles

Our Hyde Shuttle program is expanding!

On May 21st, we will introduce a new van service in Federal Way.  Like all of our community shuttles, the service is for seniors 55 years of age and older and people with disabilities of all ages.  The Shuttle will offer free door-to-door service throughout the Federal Way city limits, transporting riders to the Federal Way Community Center, grocery shopping, the library, bank, to visit a friend, cultural and social activities, medical appointments, any local errands.  Riders register for service by phone; there is no application to fill out or in-person eligibility screening.  Riders may request service up to 30 days in advance and same day service on a space available basis.  The Shuttles are lift-equipped for people who have difficulty using stairs or use a mobility aid.  Hours of operation are 9am to 4pm.  The Shuttles are free, although donations are accepted.  We will start similar service in SeaTac and Tukwila on June 4th, and we just added a second vehicle to our Renton run.

Hyde Shuttles

Senior Shuttles is now Hyde Shuttles! In honor of Lillian May Hyde, a longtime Seattle resident whose generous bequest provides funding for the Hyde Shuttles and aids countless seniors and people with disabilities in our community.

Created in 1997, the Hyde Shuttles transport seniors and people with disabilities to hot meal programs, medical appointments, senior centers, grocery stores, and other local destinations.

The service provides riders with an opportunity to socialize and stay active within their communities. It gives our van drivers an overwhelming sense of satisfaction and a chance to form many special friendships. There is no charge for rides, but donations are welcome. Call (206) 727-6262,  (425) 333-4009 (for Snoqualmie Valley Only) or 1-877-415-3632 for information on sites and days of service.
